Legal
Privacy policy
This policy explains how The Chromate Experts UK collects, uses and protects personal data when you make an enquiry or hold a training account. It is written to meet our obligations under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you contact us we collect your name, organisation, email address and the details of your enquiry. When a training place is purchased we also process the nominated trainee’s name and email address, and their progress through the course.
How we use it
We use enquiry information solely to respond to you and to provide the services you ask for. Training data is used to create accounts, deliver the course, record completion and issue certificates.
Legal basis
We rely on legitimate interests to respond to enquiries, and on the performance of a contract to deliver purchased training. We do not sell personal data or use it for unrelated marketing.
Retention
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as needed to deal with your request and a reasonable period afterwards. Training records and certificates are kept for as long as the certificate remains valid, or as required for accreditation.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To make a request, contact us using the details below.
Contact
For any privacy question, email us and we will respond promptly. If you are not satisfied, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
